The new Confused.com advert is excellent . They’ve replaced James Corden with Timothy Murphy and finished it off with Link Wray’s “Rumble”.
Sky Football’s scary season precursor reminds me of the zombies attacking Jerusalem in “World War Z” and is soundtracked by Dean Martin’s “Go Go Go Go”. I can’t embed it and it’s not on Youtube but you can watch it here.
I’m really sorry that I’ve still not got the archive sorted, I will.
Anyway, Viagra is now available over the counter and they’re using Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel’s “Come Up And See Me (Make Me Smile)” in a rather silly advert. It’s not that hard to make a good advert surely. But you can now get it from Boots here. I was surprised if you search it on Amazon there are loads of books that purport to be the tablets, very odd, I mean why do you need a book? If you have Erectile Disfunction you see a doctor or chemist and then take it from there, and lets face it you know if you have it, it’s not that hard to see.
BT Plus. Fibre & 4G together. “Our best connection in and out the home”. This has gone for New Order’s “Blue Monda”.
The BT Moments advert. Every moment of every day, we help you be there. Uses “It Must Be Love”, Madness’ take on the Labi Siffre original
We know how rubbish Halfax Ads are. The lastest kids cartoon one and the Wizard of Oz one are almost in the Shake’n’VAc awful class. However Halifax Ireland produced at least two classic adverts, which I will share below.
First is the “Top Cat” advert, which is borderline pathetic. This series is even worse that their previous “Howard” series, athough Howard himself was one.
Next is the Irish “Rockit” Dance Off featuring Bubba Sparxxx “Ms New Booty” and finishing with Herbie Hancock’s “Rockit”, this one shows how good they could be.
Finally you get the absolute class “Ballroom Blitz” gang fight featuring The Sweet’s classic. Unfortunately I’m unaware of this series continuing.
Apologies for the video quality of the Halifax Ireland ones but they still beat the hell out of Halifax England ones.
I’m still looking into integrating the back catalog o fads and haven’t really seen much that has caught my eye apart from the Premier Inn “Pedal Squad” which features The Hives “Hate To Say I Told You So” . Their current ad series is actually remarkably good.
