About the East Midlands Swimming Academy

EMSA – The East Midlands Swimming Academy was established in 1998, by Sally Parkin. Sally has been involved in swimming from a very young age, and has competed at both regional and national levels for swimming and lifesaving.

EMSA offers swimming lessons in Derby, Castle Donington, Ripley Nottingham, Eastwood, Ravenshead, Alfreton, West Bridgford, and Chesterfield for adult and child swimming lessons.  Learn to swim in one of our private swimming pools.

Swimming is one of the most important life skills that you can teach your children and is the best form of low impact exercise for people of all ages. It develops all the muscles in your body as well as strengthening the heart and lungs. Regular swimming exercise supports the physical development and coordination of children.

The East Midlands Swimming Academy specialises in individual and small group tuition. Our lessons are perfect for people of all ages, we cover every aspect of swimming and teaching, one-2-one, parent and child, group and adult lessons, to all ability levels, from complete beginners to those swimmers who wish to develop their technique or to improve their competitive performance

Our teachers are either ASA or STA qualified and have years of experience behind them, and have been carefully selected, personally by Sally. All EMSA teachers have a fully comprehensive and up to date insurance policy and have passed an enhanced DBS check.
