Chestnut Trees Preschool is managed by parents, for their children. Parents not only make up the management committee, but they are closely involved with the staff and come together on a regular basis to fund raise, organise trips for children and help with other events.
The preschool is a registered charity and is non-profit making. Any money raised through fundraising is used to enhance the preschool for the children.
The management committee is a great way to get involved. The committee is made up of volunteer parents, all of whom help in their spare time. They are responsible for employing staff, reviewing the preschool’s policies and practices, and for the management of the accounts. This ensures the major decision-making is in the hands of the parents who use the Preschool.
The committee consists of a Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Fundraiser and other helpers elected each year at the Annual General Meeting.
Membership of the committee is both rewarding and enjoyable and we would warmly welcome your interest, contribution and support at any stage throughout the year.
