Our sessions are organised jointly by all members of staff, led by a qualified Supervisor. All of our staff attend training and refresher courses run by the Preschool Learning Alliance (of which we are a member), ensuring that we are in touch with developments in child education and day care. All staff regularly attend first aid courses. We aim to ensure that all staff have qualifications relevant to their position.

Our KeyPerson system gives each member of staff particular responsibility for just a few children. Each child in the group has one special adult to relate to, which can make settling into the group much easier. In addition, the KeyPerson is in a position to tailor the group’s curriculum to the unique needs of each individual child.

Observations of each child are uploaded to an online journal, Tapestry, which forms a record of their progress. This helps us to plan work and aid the further development each child. Staff record milestones reached in each area of learning within the curriculum. This information goes with the child to their next place of education and is available at any time for their parents to view and interact with.

The staff and committee have worked extremely hard to ensure that the Preschool achieves the aims and priorities of Ofsted.
